π History & Origin
The Gully is a breed developed in Pakistan for purposes similar to the Bully Kutta, primarily used for dog fighting and guarding large livestock. Their toughness and courage have been highly valued for centuries.
πͺ Physical Features
Gullies have a muscular, robust build with a short, smooth coat, typically white, black, brown, or brindle. They feature a broad, powerful head and jaws, similar to the Bully Kutta but often more agile and lean.
π§ Deep Personality
Gullies possess a fearless and tenacious personality, but can be highly aggressive towards strangers and other animals. While deeply loyal to their family, their strong dominant tendencies and high prey drive make them potentially dangerous without thorough training and socialization. Not recommended for novice owners.
π₯ Health & Lifespan
Gullies are generally robust, but similar to Bully Kuttas, they can be prone to skin issues, hip dysplasia, and certain eye conditions. Their lifespan is approximately 10-12 years, and regular health check-ups are important.
π Training & Activities
Gullies possess high energy and strong instincts, requiring very intensive training and activity. Strict and consistent training and socialization from an early age are essential, and they are challenging for anyone but experienced, firm owners. Without sufficient exercise and mental stimulation, they can exhibit destructive behavior.
π Living Conditions
Gullies are absolutely not suited for apartment or urban living. They require vast, securely fenced spaces, and cohabitation with other pets or young children must be approached with extreme caution. Life in a detached house or farm is ideal.
𧬠MBTI Match
Much like an ENTJ in humans, the Gully possesses natural leadership and decisiveness. They are goal-oriented, challenging, and uncompromising in protecting their territory. At times, they can be stubbornly insistent on doing things their own way.
