Lore & Heritage
In 1902, an ethereal lilac-pink crystal was unearthed in Pala, San Diego County, California. Dr. George Frederick Kunz, chief gemologist and vice president of Tiffany & Co., chemically identified it as a distinct spodumene variety, leading Professor Charles Baskerville to name it Kunzite. Decades later, President John F. Kennedy bought a stunning 47-carat kunzite ring for his wife Jacqueline as a poignant tribute of enduring devotion.
