Lore & Heritage
According to Native Inuit legend, the dazzling Northern Lights were once captured and imprisoned inside rocks along the coast of Labrador. A courageous warrior struck the rocks with his spear, freeing most of the celestial fire into the sky, while fragments of the lights remained trapped inside the mineral forever. Formally introduced to European science by Moravian missionaries in 1770, it has since been revered as a supreme stone of magic and destiny.
